Why you need to advertise.

Image.  How your customers view your brand is quite possibly the single most important aspect of your company’s long term success.  Businesses come and go, Brands are forever.  If you want to make it in the 21st century, there are a few things you need to be doing right now..

Obscurity is the biggest problem in long term success.  If nobody knows you exist, how can they think of you when it comes time to buy what your offering?  One of the best ways to make an impact on the market is to run multiple marketing strategies, with a bit of planning, and a lot of massive action.  And by massive action, I mean lots of content, free knowledge, as well as product and service demonstration.  Things like Social media and email drip campaigns, running along side billboards, radio, and print advertising over a 1-3 year span of time proves to be significantly more effective at driving inbound leads now and into the future.

People are the lifeblood of your brand.  Put great people in front of your audience and they will attract positive attention towards your brand.  Word of mouth is the most powerful way to advertise. Ask for the referral. Your customer don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.  Make sure that your sales and service staff believe in your product, or service to the fullest extent that they are convicted to the idea that not providing the service or selling the product is not an option.  Brand Advocates propel your business to new heights.

Why did you start your business? Why do you wake up in the morning?  What problem are you solving? What sets your brand apart from anything like it?  Who are you helping?  How can you do it better?  If you cannot answer these questions You will never build a brand.  Brands have stories, and a great solution to many painful problems.  Great brands dominate industries, gobble up markets, because they are so admired for the passion they have for their brand.  They make people believe in everything they are selling.  Every brand sells why they do it, not what they do.  The why is the driver, the what is the vehicle.  Without a driver, the vehicle goes nowhere.

Attraction.  Draw attention to your brand, by every means necessary.  Post to social media, get in magazines, advertise your message on a billboard, make cold calls.  Yes I said it, make the calls, send the emails, get out there and talk to strangers.  People in todays world love change.  They like exciting, new and innovative ways to view and discover your business.  New methods keep surfacing and evolving every single day so use all of them.  Today, 1 or 2 methods of marketing are just not enough in an information driven world.  People are more educated than ever.  Spend the time to write great and memorable content that teaches and push it out every single day, in more ways then one.

Buyers shop 95% of the time and only spend 5% of their time actually buying.  They see ads, posts, read about you on the net, and do their due diligence in research on you AND your competition before they even consider to pick up the phone or send an email.  Great content educates. That is what people want.  They want to feel well educated and secure when they buy from you.  Marketing attracts buyers, now it’s up to your sales team to walk them through the buying process.  Sales is the single most important aspect of your business. It is what drives the cash register and keeps your brand flowing in a positive direction, but that’s for another topic…

Expand when others contract. This is key to dominating your market.  Commit first, and figure the rest out later.  Say yes and till you cannot say it anymore.  Give and give, and you WILL get it back.  This it what it takes to dominate your market and beat your competition.  Sell other services that can run Constant with what your currently doing.  For example, we advertise on trucks, and we are expanding to busses.  Our competition dropped off busses in our market, and with lightning speed, we expanded and picked up the slack.  This has opened new doors to additional revenue streams.  Expand, and you will be successful.
